PALO ALTO, Calif. – The High Point University men's soccer team finished its season in the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night against No. 5 Stanford.
Sebastian Chalbaud recorded a brace for HPU in his final game repping the Purple and White.

The Cardinal pressed the Panther defense from kickoff and forced HPU to play in its own half. Stanford scored its first goal in the third minute to take the early lead.
Chalbaud recorded the only shot on goal for HPU in the first half as High Point trailed 4-0 at the halftime break.
High Point was the first to strike in the second half, as freshman
Jefferson Amaya took a corner kick and found Chalbaud in the box for the header goal to put the Panthers on the board.
Chalbaud found the net again in the 89
th minute, heading the ball into the back of the goal after it bounced off a Cardinal defender.
High Point's season comes to a close after making history with its first program win in an NCAA Tournament. The Panthers finished the season 11-5-5 with its third NCAA Tournament berth and second Big South Tournament Championship.
