HIGH POINT, N.C. - High Point women's soccer fell just short to the Blue Hose of Presbyterian Saturday night under the lights. Both teams battled hard, but a late Presbyterian goal gave them the edge over the Panthers.
Sam Gerhart went out with a bang, playing her last game on home turf. In the fifth minute, the Senior forward scored her third first-goal header in three consecutive games off a great cross from Aguirre. The Panthers held that lead late into the match.Â
Â
At the half, the Panthers still lead 1-0. It was not until late in the second half when the Blue Hose scored back-to-back goals in the 71st and 74th minute. The win would be Presbyterian's first of the season.Â
Up Next: The Panthers travel to Radford, V.A. to play Radford Wednesday, October 26th. Kickoff is set for 7:00.Â
