HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University volleyball team improved to 11-6 and 4-0 in Big South play with a 3-1 win over Charleston Southern.
Sydney Palazzolo her second-straight match with double-digit kills and her fourth in five matches, putting away 19 winners.

High Point trailed early in the first set, 10-6, but used a 4-0 run capitalized with a Palazzolo kill to tie the match at 10.
Another 4-0 run, with kills from Palazzolo,
Gabrielle Idlebird, and
Dylan Maberry, put the Panthers ahead, 16-13.
HPU scored four of the last five with two kills from Palazzolo to take the opening set, 25-20.
The Panthers fell behind in set two, 7-4, but tied it up at 8-8 with two more Palazzolo kills.
Kathryn Wesolich had two blocks that kept the set tied at 10 apiece.
High Point held a 15-13 lead after a CSU error and an Idlebird kill.
A 6-0 CSU run put the visitors up 19-15 before the Bucs scored the final four points in the set to tie up the match, 1-1.
High Point opened up the third set with a 11-5 lead. Idlebird, Palazzolo, and Maberry each had kills.
The Panthers took a 18-13 lead with another Palazzolo kill and three-straight CSU errors. HPU closed out the third set scoring the final three points on kills from
Ally Van Eekeren and Maberry to take the 2-1 lead.
Four different Panthers recorded kills as High Point surged to a 7-3 lead in the fourth set. Van Eekeren picked up three assists and a kill in the stretch.
Another 7-2 run extended the High Point lead, 18-13, as Palazzolo put two balls away while Idlebird terminated once.

Van Eekeren notched back-to-back kills before Maberry added three.
Lucy Dumford and
Sopheea Mink each tallied one kill in the final HPU run as the Panthers won the fourth set, 25-18.
Up Next: High Point hosts No. 10 Pitt on Sunday afternoon to close out weekend action. It is the fourth time this season that HPU plays a AVCA Top-25 team and the first time this season hosting at Top-25 team. First serve is set for 1:00 p.m.
