The High Point University women's basketball team dropped a hard fought contest 77-64 to Longwood on Tuesday night in the Qubein Center. Cydney Johnson and Claire Wyatt led the Panthers in scoring with 15 points a piece on the night. Jensen Edwards brought in 10 rebounds for HPU.Â
Head coach Chelsea Banbury: "It was a tough one. You can't give up 77 points in a game and expect to win, we had too many breakdowns defensively, taking breaks, and then too many lapses in the mental side of the game. Way too many breakdowns to beat a team as good as Longwood."
