HIGH POINT, N.C.-- The High Point University men's soccer team dropped an afternoon contest 4-1 against Cornell on Tuesday (Sep. 7) inside Vert Stadium. MD Myers provided the lone goal for the Panthers, his second of the season. It was HPU's first meeting with Cornell or any team in the Ivy League. Tuesday afternoon was the first time HPU has played an Ivy League school in men's soccer.
Zach Haines: We were not good enough in any way, Cornell fully deserved to win today. We need to very quickly come together as a group and get on the same page. We have to make sure moving forward we are prioritizing the right things that help us be successful. Because we are not getting the basics right at the moment.
