The High Point University volleyball team (18-5) is back on the road this weekend taking on Hampton (Oct. 29) in Virginia then returning to North Carolina to face in-state foe Campbell (Oct. 30) HPU is currently enjoying a 26 Big South winning streak following their two-win weekend inside the Millis Center over Winthrop and Gardner-Webb with two sweeps.
Last Time This Season Against Hampton
HPU swept Hampton in straight sets en route to its 22nd consecutive Big South win on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 9). Junior Maria Miggins had a triple-double in the 3-0 win over the Lady Pirates. Miggins also recorded a career-high 11 kills on Saturday. High Point won both of its matches in the return to the Millis Center over the weekend.
Last Time This Season Against Campbell
The Panthers set the program record for most consecutive Big South wins with an epic five-set victory against Campbell on Friday evening (Oct. 8). Sophomore Transfer Dylan Maberry led the way for HPU with 23 kills in her Millis Center debut. The Panthers are now 5-0 in the Big South.
Last Time Out for HPU
HPU swept against Gardner-Webb as HPU won its game of the homecoming weekend inside the Millis Center. With the victory, the Panthers collected their 26th consecutive Big South Win on Saturday Afternoon (Oct. 23).
Madison Smith is Player of the Week
Smith had nine kills and three blocks in the win on Friday against Winthrop. Led HPU in kills with 9 and also had three digs against GWU. 18 kills in two wins on weekend. This is HPU's eighth weekly honor of the year. This is Smith's first Big South weekly honor of her redshirt junior season.
