Final Results
The High Point Women's Golf Team moved out of a tie and into fifth place alone in the final round of the 12-team field at the Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State at the Blue Course in State College, PA. The team fired the third-best round of the day, a final round 2-over par 290, to finish three strokes behind fourth place Rutgers and thirteen strokes ahead of sixth place Navy.
"We were so solid today, from top to bottom. This team has an incredible ability to finish events strong and save our best rounds for last which is only going to continue to propel us forward this season," said Head Coach
Alexis Bennett of the team's strong final round performance.
Senior
Samantha Vodry continued to lead the way for HPU, recording her 15
th career round of par or better, a 2-under par 70 to finish in a tie for medalist honors with two players from Seaton Hall University. Vodry recorded 5 birdies on the day, for a team-high total of 11. The victory is Vodry's second of her career after taking medalist honors at last year's Big South Conference Championship. Sophomore
Sarah Kahn went 4-over on the day to finish in a tie for 24
th place at 227. Sophomore

Tonrak Tasaso saved their best rounds for last, each recording even-par 72s to finish in a tie for 37
th and a tie for 44
th respectively. Junior
Vasy Montague notched three rounds under 80 this weekend to round out the scoring for the Panthers in a tie for 46
th at 234.
"Samantha is starting to see the fruits of her labor and I couldn't be more excited for her to get another win under her belt. As I anticipated, though, so far this season, we are really seeing everyone in the lineup step up at just the right times to keep the momentum going. We're really looking forward to the quick turnaround!"
HPU is back in action again in one week as they travel south to compete in the BUBBA Burger Invitational hosted by Jacksonville University.
