"I really liked our fight and energy tonight." Head coach Ryan Meek said. "We had a lot of great moments but need to be more consistent throughout the match. Overall it was a great week for us going 4-1 with three sweeps. Now we need to get ready for conference to get going next week!"

The Panthers started with a strong energy and were able to maintain it for a majority of the match, HPU made South Carolina work. The second set was back and forth from the beginning neither led by more than three at any time throughout the set. South Carolina looked to be in control, HPU called timeout. After the timeout, High Point would go on a 6-2 run to go up 23-22. The set would go beyond 25, South Carolina won the set 26-24.

The Panthers responded to the Gamecock's 2-0 lead and took a set of their own in the third. The Panthers opened the third set with a 10-4 lead. Sopheea Mink recorded a kill right after Salley's securing the win of the 3rd set 25-17.
