HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team will travel to Athens, Ohio to play Ohio in the first round of the 2019 Postseason Women's NIT. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center on Ohio's campus.
 
The Panthers fell in the quarterfinals of the Big South Championship to Charleston Southern, while the Bobcats are coming off a loss to Buffalo in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.
 
History vs. Ohio
High Point currently trails Ohio 0-3 in the all-time series. The programs last met Nov. 12, 2017 with the Bobcats taking a 64-61 win in Athens, Ohio.

• The Panthers are 125-92 all-time under head coach DeUnna Hendrix.
 
• Senior Emma Bockrath ranks second in the Big South in scoring (16.2), third in steals per game (2.9) and assist/turnover ratio (1.3), fourth in field goal percentage (.437) and fifth in assists per game (3.4) and eighth rebounds (7.2). Bockrath is 18th in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Bockrath already owns HPU's consecutive starts record with 122.
 
• She is already climbing the HPU career ranks sitting second in steals and scoring, third in field goals made, third in rebounds, fourth in total assists and sixth in free throws made.
 
• Senior Lindsey Edwards is third in points per game for High Point at 10.8. Edwards also adds 4.7 rebounds per game.
 
• The Perry Hall, Md. native ranks sixth in the Big South in steals per game. Edwards is 78th in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Senior Shea Morgan is second on the team in points per game (11.3) and third in rebounds per game (5.4) and assists per game (2.5).
 
• Senior Bria Gibson's 5.6 rebounds per game is second for HPU. Gibson adds 10.2 points per game.
 
• Junior Camryn Brown is tops on the team and second in the Big South in assists per game at 4.8 and in assist/turnover ratio at 1.5. 
 
• The Copley, Ohio native is fifth on the team with 9.4 points per game.

• Sophomore Cece Hooks leads Ohio and ranks fifth in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) with 17.3 points per game.
 
• Hooks leads the MAC and 13th in the NCAA in steals per game at 3.1. She is tops on the team with 4.2 assists per game.
 
• Outside of Hooks, four other players average 10 or more points for the Bobcats this season in redshirt freshman Erica Johnson (13.9), junior Amani Burke (13.3), sophomore Gabby Burris (11.5) and senior Dominique Doeseck (10.5).
 
• Johnson leads the team with 6.7 rebounds per game.
 
• Burke leads the MAC and ranks 24th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at 41.6.
 
• Doeseck is second in the MAC and 41st in the NCAA in 3-point field goal percentage at 39.6.
 
• As a team, the Bobcats lead the MAC in turnover margin at 6.19 and steals per game at 10.4.
 
• Ohio ranks second in the MAC scoring (77.5), scoring margin (11.9), 3-point field goal percentage (.357) and blocked shots (3.56).
