HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team will host Charleston Southern the quarterfinals of the Big South Conference Championship on Thursday, March 14. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
 
The Panthers ended the regular season with a win over Campbell, while the Buccaneers finished with a win over USC Upstate.
 
History vs. Charleston Southern
High Point currently leads the series with Charleston Southern, 30-14. The Panthers took a 69-62 win on Feb. 12 in the Charleston, S.C. and a 71-64 overtime victory in the Millis Center this season when the teams met.
 
• In the first meeting between HPU and CSU this season, the Panthers came back from down 18 in the third quarter to win in overtime.
 
• In the second meeting, High Point out-scored Charleston Southern 29-18 in the fourth to seal the win.
 
• Senior Bria Gibson led the Panthers with 18 points in both matchups.

• The Panthers are 125-91 all-time under head coach DeUnna Hendrix.
 
• In the Millis Center, Hendrix has a 68-28 record.
 
• Senior Emma Bockrath was named First-Team All-Big South after ranking in the top 10 in the conference in points, rebounds, assists, steals, assist/turnover ratio and field goal percentage.
 
• Senior Shea Morgan earned Honorable Mention All-Big South. She ranked 16th in scoring and 19th in rebounding in the Big South.
 
• Senior Lindsey Edwards was named to the Big South All-Academic team with a 3.93 GPA.

• Bockrath leads the Panthers with 16.6 points per game.

• Bockrath scored a career-high 32 points against Hampton. She has been named Big South Player of the Week twice this season.
 
• The 22 marks the most wins in the Division I era in program history. It ties the record for total wins in a season.
 
• Senior Bria Gibson is averaging 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game the last eight games.
 
• Bockrath leads the Purple & White with 16.6 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game.
 
• Bockrath was named Big South Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 3) after averaging 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 4.0 steals over three games.
 
• She won the honor two more times this season on Feb. 4 and March 12.
 
• The Dayton, Ohio native ranks second in the Big South in scoring (16.6), third in steals per game (2.8) and assist/turnover ratio (1.3), fourth in field goal percentage (.443) and fifth in assists per game (3.4) and eighth rebounds (7.3). Bockrath is 22nd in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Senior Lindsey Edwards is third in points per game for High Point at 11.0. Edwards also adds 4.8 rebounds per game.
 
• The Perry Hall, Md. native ranks sixth in the Big South in steals per game. Edwards is 78th in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Senior Shea Morgan is second on the team in points per game (11.1) and third in rebounds per game (5.4) and assists per game (2.6).
 
• Gibson's 5.8 rebounds per game is second for HPU. Gibson adds 10.3 points per game.
 
 
• Gibson has averaged 16.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game the last eight games.
 
• Junior Camryn Brown is tops on the team and second in the Big South in assists per game at 4.8 and in assist/turnover ratio at 1.5. 
 
• The Copley, Ohio native is fifth on the team with 9.3 points per game.
 
• High Point averages 73.1 points per game, which leads the Big South.
 
• The Panthers also lead the conference in field goal percentage (.425) and assists (16.45).
 
• The Panthers are 14-1 at home this season. They win by an average of 16.4 points while playing in the Millis Center in the 2018-19 season.
 
A LOOK AT THE BUCCANEERS (13-17, 9-9)
• Ke'Asia Jackson leads Charleston Southern and ranks 10th in the Big South with 12.2 points per game.
 
• Breannah Bretches adds 11.5 points per game for the Bucs.
 
• Weknyne Dumorne is tops on the team with 5.3 rebounds per game.
 
• Bretches dishes out a team-high 2.7 assists per game, while Jackson logs 2.4.
 
• Burns grabs 2.1 steals per game to lead the Bucs defensively.
 
• Weknyne Dumorne blocks 1.2 shots per game, which ranks fifth in the conference.
 
• As a team, the Buccaneers average 65.1 points, 39.1 rebounds and 12.5 assists per game.
 
• Head coach Fred Applin has coached the Bucs for seven seasons. During that time, he has compiled a 76-135 record.
 
• Applin has an 89-155 career-record after a short stint at Hampton from 1995-1997.
 
DeUnna Hendrix vs. Charleston Southern & Big South Opponents
• HPU head coach DeUnna Hendrix has compiled a 10-3 record against the Bucs. She is 4-3 in the Millis Center against Charleston Southern. Hendrix has an 89-43 record against Big South opponents.
