HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point University women's basketball team will travel to Hampton, Va. to play Hampton on Saturday, March 2. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. in the Hampton University Convocation Center.
 
The Panthers are coming off a win over Longwood, while the Lady Pirates beat Presbyterian in their last game.
 
History vs. Hampton
High Point won the only meeting between the two teams. The Panthers took an 82-73 win over the Lady Pirates on Feb. 2, 2019.

• The Panthers are 122-92 all-time under head coach DeUnna Hendrix.
 
• Senior Emma Bockrath leads the Purple & White with 15.8 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game.
 
• Bockrath scored a career-high 32 points against Hampton.
 
•The Dayton, Ohio native ranks third in the Big South in scoring (15.8), steals per game (3.1), fourth in assist/turnover ratio (2.7) and field goal percentage (.425) and sixth in assists per game (3.3) and seventh rebounds (7.4). Bockrath is 16th in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Senior Lindsey Edwards is second in points per game for High Point at 11.3, which ranks 11th in the Big South. Edwards also adds 4.9 rebounds per game.
 
• Lindsey Edwards became the 12th player in the Division I era at HPU to score 1,000 points with her 16th point against Longwood on Feb. 26. She now has 1,002 points on her career.
 
• The Perry Hall, Md. native ranks fifth in the Big South in steals per game. Edwards is 70th in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
• Senior Shea Morgan is third on the team in points per game (11.0), rebounds per game (5.5) and assists per game (2.7).
 
• Senior Bria Gibson's 5.8 rebounds per game is second for HPU. Gibson adds 9.2 points per game.
 
• Gibson has averaged 15.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game the last five games.
 
• Junior Camryn Brown is tops on the team and tied for second in the Big South in assists per game at 4.8. She is tied for first in the Big South in assist/turnover ratio at 1.5. 
 
• The Copley, Ohio native is fourth on the team with 9.6 points per game.
 
• High Point averages 72.1 points per game, which leads the Big South.
 
• The Panthers also lead the conference in field goal percentage (.419) and assists (16.20).
 
• The Panthers average 11.8 steals per game, which ranks 11th in the NCAA.
 
A LOOK AT THE LADY PIRATES (15-11, 11-4)
• Ashley Bates leads Hampton and the Big South with 17.4 points per game.
 
• She leads the Big South and ranks third in the NCAA in steals per game at 4.44.
 
• Bates logs a 47.9 percent shooting percentage, which ranks third in the Big South.
 
• She adds 3.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game.
 
• Kaylah Lupoe is tops on the team and 10th in the Big South in rebounds per game at 6.6. Lupoe adds 11.0 points per game.
 
• Mahaley Holit dishes out a team-high 4.7 assists per game, which ranks third in the Big South.
 
• Laren VanArsdale is second on the team and fourth in the conference in points per game at 15.6.
 
• As a team, Hampton leads the conference with 4.68 blocked shots and 12.25 steals per game. The Lady Pirates are sixth in the NCAA in steals per game.
 
•The Lady Pirates score 67.8 points per game and hold opponents to 64.8 a game.

• Head coach David Six is in his tenth season at Hampton. He has compiled a 213-103 record in his career.
 
• Six has led the Pirates to six NCAA Tournament appearances. He also won the program's first post-season game with a win in the 2015 women's NIT.

• HPU head coach DeUnna Hendrix has compiled a 1-0 record against the Lady Pirates. In her only meeting, the Panthers won 82-73 in the Millis Center.
