- This is the first matchup between the Panthers and North Florida.
- This is the second time head coach Tubby Smith has faced the Ospreys in his 28 seasons as an NCAA I head coach, the first being an 87-59 win on Dec. 1, 2012 with Minnesota. He holds a 5-0 overall record against Atlantic Sun opponents.

- High Point is coming off of a 90-73 win over Greensboro College last Tuesday (Nov. 26) at Millis Center for its first win of the season.
- Sophomore Curtis Holland III led the game with a career-high 24 points, while four total Panthers scored in double digits.
- Freshman John-Michael Wright was named Big South Freshman of the Week (Nov. 25) for the second time this season.
- Wright tallied 16 points in HPU's win over GC and has recorded double digits in five of his first seven career games. He
- Holland leads the Panthers with 13.1 points per game (eighth in the Big South, while Wright is second with a 12.4 average per game, which leads the conference for freshman.
- Redshirt sophomore Caden Sanchez ranks sixth in the Big South with 6.3 rebounds per game average and second in the league with 3.1 offensive boards a game.
Across the Bench
- The Ospreys is coming off two games at the Continental Tires Las Vegas Invitational last week where they defeated LIU 95-92 before falling to Tennessee State, 81-73 in the championship game.
- North Florida's 110 three-pointers made this season lead the nation and have made over 10 three-pointers in eight of their nine games this season.
- Sophomore Carter Hendricksen leads the Ospreys with 17 points per game, while senior Garrett Sams is second on the squad with 14.8 points a game.
- North Florida is led by Matthew Driscoll who enters is tenth season at the helm with a 163-167 career record. Prior to UNF, Driscoll spent six seasons as the top assistant at Baylor University under Scott Drew.
Up Next: The Panthers will return to High Point on Thursday (Dec. 5) when it hosts in-state rival Elon at 7 p.m. This will be the first time the programs have faced off one another since the 2006-07 season.
A fan tailgate will take place prior to the contest with free food and cash bar for the first 500 fans. Also, there will be a Christmas sweater giveaway to students in attendance.
