CLINTON, S.C. – The High Point women's soccer team used a three to zero goal run in the second half to power the Panthers to a 3-1 victory over Presbyterian College on Wednesday night. Keagan Bragg, Sam Gerhart, and Juliette Vidal all scored in the Panthers 3-1 victory.

"it was a very close game for us, it was not the way we were hoping we would start things, but I was glad to see the team bounce back. Said head coach Brandi Fontaine. "We had another resilient moment as we were able to score three goals on the evening after PC's first one, so I am very proud of them."

The Panthers began to apply pressure offensively from the start of the game. In the first half the panthers outshot the Blue Hose five to two. High Point spent a majority of the first half with the ball on their attacking end as they recorded five corners while PC had one. Both teams went halftime tied at zero.

PC did not wait long to make an impact in the second half, PC was fouled in the box and awarded a penalty kick. PC cashed in on the opportunity and took a 1-0 lead in the 56th minute, The Panthers turned up their intensity in the second half.

HPU did not spend long reflecting on the PC goal as less than ten minutes later the Panthers would answer. Keagan Bragg scored the game tying goal on an expertly stuck ball in the 67th minute. This game tying goal was Bragg's first of the year.

Sam Gerhart put the Panthers in front as she scored in the 82nd minute. With this game winning goal, she tied Ashlyn Kearney for the team lead in goals at four. She was assisted by Alex Palmer. Just two minutes later HPU was fouled in the box. Juliette Vidal stepped up to take the penalty kick and scored her first goal of the season.

The 3-1 victory over PC extends High Point's win streak to seven games. It is the longest active win streak in the Big South conference. High Point remains the only undefeated team in the Big South. The first place Panthers are 7-0-1 in Big South play and 8-6-1 overall on the season.

Up Next: High Point returns to Vert Stadium for their last regular season game of the year as the Panthers host Winthrop on Saturday (Oct.19).
