HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University volleyball team travels to Villanova, Pa., this weekend for a tournament. The Panthers (1-5) will take on Temple at 4:30 p.m. on Friday before facing host Villanova at 2 p.m. on Saturday. HPU concludes the tournament with a match against No. 21 Utah at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

On the Panthers
• High Point is 1-5 on the season after dropping a pair of matches to Texas and Wisconsin, who are currently ranked No. 6 and No. 2, last Sunday (Sept. 2) in Madison, Wis.
• Sophomore
Abby Bottomley was named the Big South Defensive Player of the Week after earning 81 digs in four matches (5.06 digs per set).
• Bottomley is 19th in the nation and first in the Big South with 5.68 digs per set.
• Senior
Molly Livingston averaged 2.62 kills per set while hitting .299 in four matches last week.
• Freshman
Madison Smith recorded 35 kills in four matches last week, including 12 kills and five blocks against Kennesaw State on Thursday.

On the Owls
• Temple comes into the weekend with a 1-5 record after dropping three matches at the Penn State Invitational last weekend in State College, Pa.
• The Owls were swept by Penn State and Texas A&M and fell, 3-2, to Indiana.
• Dana Westfield leads Temple with 2.83 kills per set.

On the Wildcats
• Villanova is 5-1 on the season after going 2-1 at the Kristin Dickman Memorial in Annapolis, Md.
• The Wildcats swept both Dartmouth and host Navy, but fell to Alabama, 3-2.
• Sanaa Barnes leads Villanova with 2.86 kills per set, while Regan Lough paces the squad with 4.77 digs per set.

On the Utes
• Utah is 5-1 coming into the weekend after sweeping three matches against Montana, Gonzaga and Iowa State last weekend in the Montana Volleyball Invitational.
• Lauga Gauta leads the Utes with 4.00 kills per set, while Dani Drews is averaging 3.76.
• Brianna Doehrmann leads Utah with 3.68 digs per set.
