HIGH POINT, N.C. -Â High Point University women's soccer continues its path through the Big South this weekend, hosting USC Upstate for a 2 p.m. kickoff this Saturday.
The Panthers' contest will be the first leg of a weekend doubleheader, with the men's side beginning its contest with Gardner-Webb later in the evening. The HPU women enter the weekend after opening their conference season with a 1-1 draw at Hampton, where freshman forward
Skyler Prillaman scored a game-tying goal for her side in the 87th minute.
The Spartans sit at an even 4-4 record on the year, losing their conference opener at Gardner-Webb 3-1. Only one of Upstate's wins have come against a program ranked in the top-300 of the latest RPI poll, entering its contest with HPU on a two-game losing streak.

On the Panthers
• High Point's 32 shots against Hampton last Wednesday fell only one attempt shy of tying a single game DI program record
• Leading goal-scorer
Skyler Prillaman picked up her third score of the season against the Pirates, putting away a game-tying goal in the 87th minute
• Prillaman took a total of nine shots over the course of the contest against the Pirates, moving her into a tie for fifth-most in the conference with 20 total
• Four of HPU's eight goals this year have come after the 80th minute, with their latest of the year coming in the 88th, on a game-winner at James Madison last weekÂ
• The Panthers defense has held opponents to under two goals on four occasions this year; they've surrendered a total of two goals over their last three contests, with opponents shooting an average of just .077 overallÂ
• HPU returns to Vert Stadium where it is outscoring opponents 4-1 on the year. The Panthers are shooting .114 when playing in High Point, in comparison to .065 on the road

• USC Upstate entered the week ranked 331 out of 333 in the latest RPI polls, with two of its wins in 2018 coming against non-DI opponentsÂ
• The Spartans' 8.63 shots per game is the top mark in the conference and currently sits 22nd in all of DI women's soccer
• Upstate currently has two of the top-five goal-scorers in the conference; junior midfielder Abbie Ellis is in a tie for first with six goals, while junior forward Jada Kinlaw's five tallies put her in a tie for fourth
