HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University volleyball team returns to action Thursday and Friday (Aug. 30-31) for a pair of matches in Kennesaw, Ga.

On the Panthers
• The Panthers had two close defeats at the War Eagle Invitational last weekend in Auburn, Ala., falling both to host Auburn and Michigan, 3-0. HPU dropped the six sets by a combined 20 points.
• Sophomore libero
Abby Bottomley averaged 7.33 digs per set in the tournament last weekend and ranks fourth in nation.
• Senior
Abby Broadstreet averaged 2.50 kills per set last weekend, while fellow seniors
Molly Livingston and
Katie Tylman were right behind with 2.33.
• Livingston leads the Purple & White block with 1.33 blocks per set.

On the Owls
• Kennesaw State opened up its season with three wins last weekend in Birmingham, Ala, taking down Loyola Chicago, 3-0, McNeese State, 3-0, and Samford, 3-2.
• Lauren Chastang leads the Owls with 3.00 kills per set, while Liesl Engelbrecht leads the team with 10 blocks to go along with a .338 hitting percentage.
• Kennesaw State was 21-5 overall last season and won the Atlantic Sun Championship

On the Dolphins
• Jacksonville dropped its first three matches of the year in a tournament in Tampa, Fla., falling to Stony Brook, 3-2, South Florida, 3-2, and San Jose State, 3-0.
• Mallory Mattingly leads the Dolphins with 3.54 kills per set, while Natalie Wehner leads the squad with 3.31 digs per set.
• Jacksonville went 18-10 overall last year, including 12-2 in the ASUN.
