Women's Soccer Looks For Third Straight Victory

HIGH POINT, N.C.— High Point University women's soccer jumps into its final two weeks of the regular season, facing off with Charleston Southern on the road, this Wednesday at 3 p.m.

The Panthers are currently on a two-match win streak, after beating Presbyterian and UNC Asheville by a combined score of 7-1 the previous week. The side is on a streak of 4-1-2 in its last seven matches, averaging 2.50 goals per game over that time. The odds are in the Panthers favor this Tuesday, as the program has not lost to the Bucs since 2011, and are looking for their 11th straight victory against the club.

CSU enters the midweek contest on a two-match losing streak, falling to conference rivals Gardner-Webb and Campbell the previous week. The Buccaneers' defense has been the source of their success this year, holding opponents to just over one goal per game, and recording the 18th-best saves per game average in Division I women's soccer (6.47).
