High Point Notes:
• Last time out, HPU defeated Ohio 1-0 on Friday at Vert Stadium. Senior Paige Rombach delivered the lone goal via a penalty kick in the 19th minute. Senior Alex Hank and redshirt-sophomore Charlotte Kennedy combined to make seven stops in net.
• Senior goalkeeper Alex Hank has not allowed a goal through 180 minutes in net so far this year. The keeper played the full 90' against App State before posting spotless first halves against Georgia and Ohio. HPU has used three goalkeepers this year, splitting the last two games.
• The Panthers have been outshot in the first three games of the season, 56-21. HPU has allowed 20 shots in each of the last two games, but has ceded only one goal.
• High Point is second in the Big South in goals allowed per game (0.33), trailing only Presbyterian, who posted a shutout in its lone contest thus far this year.
• The Purple & White have 15 seniors on the team, which accounts for nearly half of the 32-member roster. The senior class has won 39 games in three-plus years and needs six wins to become the all-time winningest class in HPU Div. I history.

South Carolina Notes:
• The No. 3 Gamecocks are 2-1-0 on the season following a 3-2 loss on Thursday at Wake Forest. Senior Savannah McCaskill scored both goals for South Carolina.
• McCaskill, the defending SEC Offensive Player of the Year, leads the team in goals (3), points (8), and shots (13), and has recorded at least one point in each of the team's three games. She enters today's contest three points shy of 100 for her career.
• South Carolina has been ranked in the top five of the national poll each of the last 10 weeks. The Gamecocks became the first team in SEC history to post an undefeated regular season (17-0-1) in 2016.

Series Notes:
• South Carolina won the only previous matchup between the two schools, 2-0 in 2014 at Stone Stadium.
• Then-freshman Alex Hank made seven saves in the first half of the contest as HPU was outshot 19-3 overall.
• This is the second of four matchups against SEC teams for High Point this season. The Panthers dropped a 1-0 decision at Georgia last Sunday and will travel to take on Ole Miss (Friday) and No. 20 Auburn (Sep. 8).
• High Point is 0-4-2 all-time against members of the SEC.
