HIGH POINT, N.C.—The High Point University women's lacrosse team defeated Campbell, 17-10, Wednesday evening (April 19) in a battle of the Big South unbeatens at Vert Stadium.

With the win, the Panthers improved to 12-3 on the season and 6-0 in Big South play. High Point has clinched a share of the regular season conference title and will be the No. 1 seed for the Big South Tournament. It is the second time in program history the Panthers have earned at least a share of the Big South regular season title.

The victory also extended High Point's school-record win streak to 12. It is also the second-longest active win streak in the nation.

High Point recorded a school-record 46 shots compared to 18 for Campbell (8-7, 5-1 Big South). The Panthers also led in draw controls, 16-12, and ground balls, 23-17.

"We are always happy to get a home win and being that it was the game that determined the No. 1 seed for the conference tournament, we are very excited that we will be hosting that tournament," HPU head coach
Lyndsey Boswell said. "It was also really good to see the leadership from two of our seniors tonight. I thought
Christina Del Sesto came up huge for us at different times and Sam Brown led the way on attack. I'm just excited for our seniors this week."

Campbell scored the first two goals of the game, but High Point claimed the next seven. The Fighting Camels then scored four in a row to cut the HPU lead to 7-6, but the Purple & White went on a 7-1 run to break open the game.

Senior
Samantha Brown scored seven points on five goals and two assists. She now has 44 goals this season, which is the fourth-most tally in school history. Junior
Erica Perrotta posted three goals and three assists, while fellow junior
Brooke Stevens also tallied a hat trick.

Sophomore
Emory Gaeng picked up a team-high five ground balls, while senior
Christina Del Sesto picked up four draw controls.

Next up, the Panthers conclude the regular season at home against Presbyterian on Saturday (April 22). First draw at Vert Stadium is set for 1 p.m.
