HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University women's basketball team is back on the road to take on UNC Asheville in Kimmel Arena on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Panthers (3-11, 1-2) have dropped their last two contests in tightly contested matchups with Liberty and Charleston Southern. On the other hand, the Bulldogs (8-6, 2-1) are coming off back-to-back wins over Longwood and Winthrop.

Quick Hitters
• Emma Bockrath has ramped up her already staggering production since the conference season started. The sophomore is averaging 15.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.3 steals in HPU's three league contests.

• The Panthers are leading the Big South in free throw shooting percentage (.754) for the second straight season. Meanwhile, the squad has dipped to second from beyond the arc at 33.2 percent, just 0.1 behind Gardner-Webb.

• Finally healthy in the frontcourt, HPU has pulled down 17.4 offensive boards per game over their last five games.

• Outside of her record scoring pace, Kaylah Keys is headed toward other remarkable career milestones. The guard needs 58 rebounds, 23 assists and 14 steals to become the first Panther in the team's Division I era to rack up 400 rebounds, 300 assists and 200 steals.

• If she's in the starting lineup for the 14th straight game, Kaylah Keys will become the second player in HPU's Division I era to start 100 games. Frances Fields holds the record with 105.

• Kaylah Keys is averaging 15.6 points per game in seven career contests against UNC Asheville with six double-digit outputs. Similarly, Kat Harris posted 19.0 points per outing against the Bulldogs during the 2015-16 campaign.

• In the preseason, the Panthers were picked to finish third while picking up a first-place vote. On the other side, UNC Asheville was picked to repeat as the conference champion after collecting eight of the 10 first-place votes in the preseason poll.

All-Time Series with UNC Asheville
The Panthers own a 34-13 edge in the overall series, but the Bulldogs won both contests last season after losing 13 straight to the Purple & White.

Last Time They Met
HPU wrapped up the 2015-16 regular season with an 85-64 setback at UNC Asheville. In that contest, Kat Harris racked up 20 points on 4-of-5 shooting from downtown.

Scouting the Bulldogs
UNC Asheville opened the conference slate with a surprising home loss to Campbell, but have responded with wins over Longwood and Winthrop. The 2015-16 Player of the Year - Chatori Major - hasn't shot the ball as well this season hitting 33.6 percent from the floor down from 42.2 last year.

The Matchup to Watch
Saturday's matchup between High Point and UNC Asheville will feature the top two scoring offenses in the Big South Conference. The Bulldogs lead the league with 67.4 points per game while the Purple & White are scoring at a 67.0 clip. Nine of the top 30 individual scorers in the conference are on these two teams.

Next Up
High Point remains on the road on Tuesday, Jan. 17 against another of the conference's top teams at Radford at 7 p.m. The Panthers swept the Highlanders in the regular season, but fell to Radford in the Big South Tournament.
