HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University volleyball team returns to the court on Saturday in Rock Hill, S.C. to take on Winthrop at 4 p.m.
The Panthers (11-5, 2-1) enjoyed six days off after besting Liberty and UNC Asheville in the Millis Center last weekend. The Eagles, on the other hand, are 8-8 (0-1) and will be in action on Friday night against Campbell before welcoming High Point to the Winthrop Coliseum.

• For the third time this season the Panthers boast the Big South Defensive Player of the Week in junior
Amy Pilat. The Chagrin Falls, Ohio native averaged 6.22 digs per set last week and joined sophomores
Molly Livingston and
Jordan Hefner as HPU's honorees.

Katie Tylman recorded an impressive weekend tallying 28 kills (4.00/set) while hitting .440.
• The Panthers won last season's match against Winthrop by a 3-1 score in the Millis Center behind 20 kills and seven blocks combined from Livingston and Hefner.
• High Point has won the last four meetings with the Eagles dating back to Oct. 12, 2012.
• Junior
Haley Barnes and Livingston are No. 2 and No. 4 respectively in the Big South in points per set.
• Senior Brianna Gray leads Winthrop and is second in the conference in hitting percentage (.326) and ninth in blocks (0.93/set).
• The match features two of the most efficient offenses in the league with HPU second in hitting percentage and the Eagles sitting in fourth.
• High Point was the preseason pick to win the conference while Winthrop was fifth.
