HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University volleyball team is off to its best start since 2008 after winning seven of its first 10 matches of the season. The Panthers are on the road this weekend to round out non-conference play in the Black & Gold Invitational in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Molly Livingston earned Big South Offensive Player of the Week two weeks after claiming the defensive honor.

• Livingston has been named to the all-tournament team in all three of HPU's tournaments this year. Junior
Haley Barnes has two all-tournament selections – one MVP – while junior
Amy Pilat and sophomore
Katie Tylman have each garnered one honor.

• The Panthers have played well early in matches and are 8-2 in the first set while scoring 23 points and 25 in their losses.

• The Purple & White are 3-0 against in-state opponents heading into a weekend that features two matches against Tar Heel State foes.
LAST WEEKEND
High Point went 2-1 in the Wolfpack Invitational at N.C. State over the weekend. HPU opened the tournament with a win over N.C. State - the first over an ACC foe since 2012 - before splitting its Saturday matches against SMU and Delaware.
