High Point Notes:
            • High Point remains undefeated through two weeks of the 2016 season after wins over Appalachian State and Ohio last weekend. The Panthers picked up a 2-0 home win over the Mountaineers on Friday then went on the road for a 2-1 overtime win at Ohio on Sunday.
            • HPU came from behind to pick up the win at Ohio as sophomore Callyn Loughrey scored the game-tying goal, her first collegiate tally, in the 85th minute then redshirt-senior Kelsey Perrell got the game winner from the penalty spot in the 95th minute.
            • Junior Alex Hank, the defending Big South Defensive Player of the Year, earned her second-straight Big South Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday after going 2-0-0 in net with her second shutout in four games. Hank boasts a 0.47 goals-against average for the season with a .895 save percentage.
            • Six different players have scored a goal for the Panthers through four games this season. Redshirt-junior Bailey Beattie leads the team in points so far with three points on a goal and an assist.
            • High Point cracked the NSCAA Southeast Regional Ranking for the first time in program history on Tuesday, checking in at No. 10 behind nine ACC programs. The NSCAA Southeast Region consists of schools from the ACC, Big South and Southern Conference.
            • Thursday's game kicks off a stretch of four-straight road games against Power 5 opponents for HPU. Following the game at NC State, the Panthers will play at Kentucky, No. 6 Clemson and No. 7 Duke.
 
NC State Notes:
            • NC State sits at 2-2-0 in 2016 following a 4-1 win over Navy on Sunday. The Wolfpack got two goals from freshman midfielder Tziarra King and one each from sophomore midfielder Taylor Porter and freshman midfielder Ricarda Walkling in the win.
            • The Wolfpack opened the season with a 6-1 win over La Salle in Winston-Salem, N.C., and then took loses against San Diego and South Carolina before bouncing back with the win over Navy in the team's home opener on Sunday.
            • Redshirt-junior forward Jackie Stengel leads the Wolfpack with seven points on three goals and an assist in four games this season. Senior forward Rachel Cox sits just behind Stengel with five points on two goals and an assist while King has four points after her brace on Sunday.
            • Sophomore Sydney Wootten has played the majority of minutes in net for NC State, appearing in all four games. She has posted a 1.37 goals-against average with a .667 save percentage.
            • NC State finished with just four wins last season and the team returns six of its top eight scorers from that team. The Woflpack was picked 13th out of 14 teams in the ACC Preseason Poll.
 
Series Notes:
            • Thursday's match will be 11th all-time meeting between High Point and NC State.
            •The Panthers have never beaten NC State and are 0-9-1 in the two teams' previous 10 meetings.
            * The last meeting between HPU and NC State came on Sept. 8, 2011, when the Wolfpack picked up a 1-0 win in overtime at Vert Stadium.
