HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University baseball team delivered head coach
Craig Cozart his 200th win on Wednesday when it completed a midweek-series sweep of Wright State with an 11-6 win over the Raiders at Williard Stadium.
"Sweeping a midweek series against a team like Wright State is a really good accomplishment," Cozart said. "We got great production out of the bottom of our lineup with
Spencer Brown and
Nick Blomgren combining for six RBI and
Michael Hennessey pitched a heck of a game for us on the mound. I was really glad we kept adding on and putting up runs. These are two good wins for us and I am proud of the way the team is performing right now."

Cozart improves to 200-204 with the win over Wright State on Tuesday. He holds the HPU Div. I record for career wins and has guided the program to its five winningest-seasons since joining Div. I in 2000. The Panthers have finished .500 or better four times under Cozart, something that hadn't been done in the Div. I era prior to his arrival.Â
High Point continues its 14-game home stand this weekend with a three-game series against Dayton. The Panthers and Flyers will open the series on Friday, March 4, at 4 p.m.
