HIGH POINT, N.C. - The High Point University men's basketball team (3-3) heads north to face off with the Morgan State Bears (2-4) out of the MEAC on Monday in Baltimore, Md.

Tip-off between the Panthers and Bears is set for 7 p.m. Kevin Burke will be back on the call on the High Point Panthers Radio Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m.

• High Point is coming off a nine-point loss at Clemson on Friday. Sophomore
Andre Fox led the Panthers with 22 points, his fourth 22 game of the season.

•  Prior to its game at Clemson, High Point hosted the first HPU Classic Nov. 18-20. The Panthers posted a 2-1 record, with wins over rival UNCG (63-57) and Navy (69-62).

•  Fox was named the Big South Player of the Week on Nov. 21 after averaging 18.5 points and shooting 57.1 percent from the field over four games last week.

• Fox is third in the Big South in scoring (18.3 ppg) and seventh in field goal percentage (.478). He has posted 20+ points in four of six games, tops in the conference.

HISTORY vs. MORGAN STATE
Monday's game marks the fourth-ever meeting between High Point and Morgan State in men's basketball. The two teams first met on Feb. 23, 2013 in a Bracket Buster contest at the Millis Center. The Bears won the first two meetings between the two sides before HPU picked up its first win in the series exactly one year ago with an 82-72 home win.

HISTORY vs. MEAC OPPONENTS
The Panthers are 12-9 (.571) all time against current members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. HPU's most common opponents are North Carolina Central (5-0), North Carolina A&T (1-3), Savannah State (2-1) & Morgan State (1-2). In the most recent meeting with a MEAC program, HPU defeated the Bears, 82-72, exactly on year ago (Nov. 28, 2015).
John Brown led the Panthers with 30 points in the contest. On March 18, 2015, HPU upended MEAC foe Maryland Eastern Shore, 70-64, in the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. The win marked HPU's first ever Div. I postseason victory.

A LOOK AT THE BEARS (2-4, 0-0 MEAC)
Morgan State was picked to finish ninth out of 13 teams in the 2016-17 MEAC preseason poll. The Bears dropped their first two games of the season to Houston and Towson before bouncing back with back-to-back home wins over Wilmington University and Campbell. The Bears have since dropped two-straight on the road at Brown and Bowling Green and sit at 2-4 entering the week. Morgan State is led by a high-scoring pair of players in Tiwian Kendley and Philip Carr. Kendley ranks second in the MEAC and 49th in the nation in scoring at 21.3 points per game while Carr is fifth at 17.0 points per game. Carr also leads the league with 8.7 rebounds per game while Martez Cameron is tops on the Bears with 3.3 assists per game.
