Â
"We still need to work on our defense after we spent a lot of time on it this summer, so I was pretty disappointed in our defense," head coach
DeUnna Hendrix said. "It is the key for us because when we are good on the defensive end, we can get out and run and score offensively. However, when we are only decent defensively we turn into a decent offensive team, but when we can get into transition we are fun to watch."
Â
Sophomore
Haleigh Hatfield added 11 points and obtained two blocks to give High Point two double-digit scorers.
Â
Likewise, junior
Kat Harris (9 points), senior
Kaylah Keys (8 points), freshman
Camryn Brown (8 points), and junior
Lindsey Edwards (8 points) all came a basket away from double-digit scoring.
