HIGH POINT, N.C. - High Point University redshirt-senior forward John Brown is one of the top returning players in the nation heading into the 2015-16 season.

With the first practice of the season just four days away, let's take a look at Brown's impressive resume heading into his final campaign with the Purple & White.

Brown - a 2015 Henson Award finalist, 2014 AP All-American and three-time NABC All-District selection - is the nation's No. 3 returning scorer. Check out the impressive company Brown keeps below:

In addition, Brown is No. 1 amongst returning players nationally in field goals made. He is one of just two players returning nationally to have posted 1,500 points and 600 rebounds in a career, joining Shawn Long of Louisiana-Lafayette.

Brown also is the No. 7 returner in college basketball in career scoring average (18.5 ppg).

Heading into his redshirt-senior campaign, Brown can accomplish a series of statistical feats. He needs 442 points to pass Nick Barbour ('12) and become HPU's all-time Div. I scoring leader. With 719 points, the Jacksonville, Fla., native will pass Gene Littles ('69) and become the Panthers' all-time leading scorer in program history.

Brown also can become HPU's all-time leader in games started, games played, steals, field goals made while moving into the school's top-5 in rebounding.

He is one of just four players in Big South history to post at least 1,500 points, 500 rebounds, 100 blocks and 100 steals in a career.

About the Panthers: The High Point University men's basketball team is coming off a record-breaking 2014-15 season that saw the Panthers set new Div. I program records for wins (23), Big South wins (13), road wins (9) and Big South road wins (6). HPU advanced to the postseason for the third-straight year and earned its first ever postseason win with a victory over UMES in the CIT. HPU is the winningest Big South program over the past three years and is one of just six schools nationally to have won a regular season conference title in each of the past three campaigns (Gonzaga, Kansas, Stephen F. Austin, Davidson, Harvard).
