Jacob Smith picked up his second win of the spring, finishing first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the High Point University men's track and field team on Saturday at the Raleigh Relays.
“I think we highlight being competitive and then winning races and it was nice seeing that from Jacob and Evan,” HPU assistant
Jenna Wrieden said. “Jacob ran a really smart race to progress throughout. He has a great opportunity to do well at the regional meet. Evan is taking really good steps forward and his confidence continues to rise. Roach and Riley did well in the 1,500 and then came back in the 4x800 and performed well there as well.”
