Neal Darmody finished seventh in the 5k and
TJ Brancaccio earned a fifth place finish in the pole vault to lead the High Point University men's track & field team at the ETSU Niswonger invitational in Johnson City, Tenn.
“We continue to see improvement from meet to meet,” said head coach
Mike Esposito. “Neal placed well but can still improve his times and vaulters are consistently improving every weekend.”
Darmody ran the 5,000-meter in 15:04.38 to finish seventh in the race.
Brancaccio cleared 15-3 (4.65 meters) and
Jacob Mathews finished eleventh with a vault of 14-3.25 (4.35 meters). Brancaccio tied his season high from last weekend and Mathews set a new season best.
Alex Fisher won his heat and placed 13th overall in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.43.
The Panthers will take part in the UNC Invitational next weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C.
