Charlena Martin and Katie O'Dell scored 14 points apiece to lead High Point past Winthrop, 82-57, Saturday night in the regular-season finale for both teams in Rock Hill.

With the win, the Panthers (14-13, 8-6 Big South) clinched the No. 3 seed in the 2004 Advance Auto Parts Women's Basketball Tournament. HPU will host Coastal Carolina Tuesday night in a first-round game in the Millis Center (7:00 pm).
 
Winthrop dropped to 5-21 and 2-12 in the Big South.

Other Panthers in double figures included Chan Ingram (13 points), Katie Ralls (11 points) and Kate Jenner (10 points). It is the second time this season that High Point had five players who scored in double figures.

High Point shot  11-of-23 from behind the arc and outrebounded Winthrop 50-38.

All Big South Tournament games will be played on the home court of the higher seed.
