Amanda Wiles recorded her second triple-double of the season as UNC Asheville shook off a loss in the first game and recorded a 3-1 Big South Conference volleyball victory over visiting High Point Tuesday night. The Bulldogs won the match by the scores of 26-30, 30-26, 30-13, 30-17.

The victory by the Bulldogs (14-7, 8-3 BSC) was their ninth win in the last 10 matches. The Panthers fell to 7-24 and 1-10 in the Big South.

Wiles finished the match with 49 assists, 12 digs and 10 kills.

UNCA had a balanced attack in the four-game win. Elif Unlu led the Bulldog offense with 15 kills, while Frida Sigurdardottir added 13 kills. Kelly Budnik finished with 10 kills and sparked the defense with 20 digs. She moved into sixth place on the school's all-time career list for digs with 1,375. Senior blocker Suzanne Aubel had nine kills and four blocks.

High Point was led by Kamarsha Ryan with 18 kills. Sabrina Wahid finished with 11 kills and three blocks. Lindsey Pickens added 10 kills and nine digs.

The Panthers won the first game behind Pickens' serving. High Point trailed 22-20 when Pickens went to serve but scored seven straight points to grab a 27-22 lead. Ryan led the Panther run with three kills. Wahid finished the game off with a kill as High Point won, 30-26.

The second game was close all the way but a 6-0 run by the Bulldogs allowed UNCA to build a 24-20 lead. Sigurdardottir had three kills in the run. UNCA tied the match with a 30-26 game two victory.

The Bulldogs took total control of the match in the third game, racing out to a 20-9 lead and cruising to a 30-13 win. Unlu led the way with five kills and three service aces.

It was more of the same in the fourth game as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 10-1 lead and rolled to a 30-17 victory.

The Panthers return to action Saturday at Birmingham-Southern (3:00 pm).
