Kamarsha Ryan had 23 kills and Lindsey Pickens added 21 kills to help High Point rally to beat Wofford, 3-2, in volleyball action Wednesday night at Benjamin Johnson Arena in Spartanburg, S.C.

The Panthers improve to 8-25 on the season and eclipse last season's victory total, while the homestanding Lady Terriers fall to 8-21.

HPU jumped on top and took game one, 30-18. The Panthers recorded a .400 hitting percentage for the frame. Wofford then took the next two games (30-23, 30-21) to put the Panthers in a 2-1 hole, but HPU dug deep and outlasted Wofford 34-32 in game four and then won the decisive game five by a 15-11 tally to take the match.

Senior April Shields collected 10 digs to reach the 1,000-dig plateau for her HPU career. Pickens added 17 digs to go with her 21 kills. Heather Brooks and Sabrina Wahid added eight kills apiece. Kim Anderson provided a match-high 18 digs for HPU, and Setter Heather Butt added 55 assists.

Wofford's Andrea Duke led all players with 24 kills, while teammate Katie Laser tallied 23 kills. Rhea deJesus provided a match-high 64 assists.

HPU closes the regular season with a two-match weekend homestand. Charleston Southern visits the Panthers first (7:00 pm Friday), and HPU hosts Coastal Carolina at 2:00 pm on Senior Day.
