High Point dropped a tough match to conference foe UNC Asheville, 3-1, in volleyball action Tuesday night in the Millis Center. 
HPU freshman Lindsey Pickens led the Panthers with 21 kills and 12 digs with three assists in the match, which the Bulldogs won by a line score of 30-28, 28-30, 17-30, and 24-30.
The Bulldogs' Frida Sigurdardottir led all players with 24 kills.
The Panthers fell to 5-18 and 0-5 in the Big South, while the Bulldogs improved their record to 6-6 and 2-2 in the League.
UNC Asheville had three other players hit double figures in kills: Suzanne Aubel (11), Kelly Budnik (10), and Amanda Wiles (12, plus a match-high 47 assists).
Kamarsha Ryan and Heather Brooks also had double figures in kills with 12 and 10 respectively. Heather Butt had a double double with 41 assists and 10 digs.
The Panthers will be back in action on Friday when they travel north to take on Liberty in Big South action. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
