Lindsey Pickens and Heather Brooks had 15 kills apiece to lead the Panthers to a 3-0 win over Savannah State Saturday in Savannah, Ga. The line score was 30-20, 30-19, and 30-23.

High Point snapped an eight-match losing streak and improved its overall record to 6-21 while Savannah State dropped to 2-25 for the season.

Before Saturday, HPU's last win was a 3-1 victory over Campbell on Sept. 23.

Kamarsha Ryan had another solid performance with 13 kills and an attacking percentage of .467. April Shields led all players with 12 digs, while Heather Butt dished out 29 assists in the win.

High Point returns to action on Tuesday, Oct. 28 against Big South Conference foe Winthrop at the Millis Center. The first serve will be at 7:00pm.
