North Carolina State scored three goals within the first eleven minutes of play en route to a 5-0 win over visiting High Point Tuesday afternoon.

NC State improves to 5-3 on the year, while High Point falls to 2-4-1.

The Wolfpack got on the board in the fourth minute, when Lindsey Underwood crossed the ball to Annika Schmidt. Schmidt headed the ball into the left corner of the net for her fourth goal of the season.

NC State struck again just three minutes later. Erin Bushey slipped the ball to Lauren Bendahan, who fed a long pass to Underwood. Underwood blasted the ball into the net past Panther keeper Courtney Noel.

The Wolfpack led 4-0 at halftime, and added an insurance goal in the 58th minute.

NC State's Gretchen Lear started the match and earned her third shutout of the season and 14th of her career.

Eileen Mazeika led the Panthers with two shots (both on-goal).

High Point returns to Big South action on Saturday at UNC Asheville. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm.
