The Phoenix got the victory by a linescore of 30-27, 24-30, 30-21, and 30-26.

The first game looked like it could have been anyone's game, but after an HPU timeout, Elon gained momentum and overcame High Point's attempt to even the match at 27. Elon capitalized on the Panthers' five errors in game one and took game one off a service ace by Sarah Haskell.

High Point regrouped during the break and took the early lead in game two at 12-8, but Elon whittled away at the lead and pulled within 24-22. HPU was able to pounde out the next four points and close out the game, 30-24, with an ace from Tracyann Pryce.

Elon surged out to a 4-0 lead in game three before the Panthers scored their first point. Elon went on to take five consecutive points to leap ahead 10-6. High Point was not able to contend with the Phoenix's 43 attack attempts in game three and committed eight errors. The Phoenix took the game, 30-21.

In the final game, High Point took the early advantage with a 6-3 lead. Elon came roaring back and regained the lead.  The Panthers were able to come within one at 20-19, but couldn't capitalize on the momentum. Elon took game four off blocks by Haskell and Emily Hayes.

The Phoenix were led by LaBrutto and Hayes, who contributed 15 and 16 kills respectively. LaBrutto added 13 digs and Katie Forman grabbed 14 digs as well. Kate Hart led the team in assists with 32.
