In a match that saw two of the four games go to extra points, Radford got the job done late and edged past High Point in Big South volleyball action at the Millis Center.

The Highlanders improve to 8-22, 4-9 in the Big South, while HPU slips to 5-22, and 1-9 in league play.

After Radford won the first game, 30-26, the Panthers came out smoking, taking the first ten points of game two. But the Highlanders battled back and even took the lead at 29-27 before HPU rallied to grab the game, 32-30.

RU made short work of the Panthers in game three, 30-18, and rallied from a 24-19 deficit in game four to take its first lead at 27-26, fought off a game point at 30-29 and held on for the win.

The Highlanders had five players in double-figures in kills, led by Vicki Fisher with 17, Christine German with 13 and Allison Ainsley with 12. Ainsley had 16 digs and five aces, while Karri Attinger added 13 digs.

Bliss Mulligan had 51 assists for the Highlanders.

For High Point, Tracyann Pryce provided a match-high 20 kills, while Kimberly Wright added 16 and Kamarsha Ryan 13. April Shields led the way defensively with 14 digs.

The Panthers host Liberty Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
