Box Score UNC Asheville defeated High Point 3-0 Saturday afternoon in Big South volleyball action at the Millis Center.
The Bulldogs took care of the Panthers by a score of 30-24, 30-24, 30-17.
UNCA (21-7, 9-2 Big South) got 16 kills from Frida Sigurdardottir and 11 kills from Kelly Budnik. Sigurdardottir, who was the MVP of the HPU Invitational in August, tallied a .364 hitting percentage for the match.
Leslie Whitfield provided 17 digs defensively for the Bulldogs.
For the Panthers (5-20, 1-8), Kimberly Wright led the way with 17 kills on a .385 hitting percentage. HPU had three players in double-figures in digs -- Jaime Kutz (13), Wright (11), and April Shields (10).
HPU continues its homestand Sunday afternoon with a home match against future Big South foe Birmingham-Southern. First serve is set for 2:00 pm.
