Box Score Winthrop won its seventh-straight match and 14th in its last 15 contests with a 3-0 win over High Point Tuesday night in Rock Hill.
Winthrop (22-7, 10-1 Big South) outhit the visiting Panthers (4-19, 1-7 BSC) .331 to .108 on the night.
The victory leaves the Eagles one win shy of setting a new school record for consecutive wins.
Lindsey Remmers topped Winthrop with a .526 hitting percentage (12 kills and two errors in 19 attempts), while Logan Pierce led all players with 18 kills and finished with a .333 hitting percentage.
High Point was led by Kimberly Wright's nine kills while April Shields had a strong game defensively as she led all players in the match with 14 digs.
The Panthers return home for a trio of home matches this weekend, beginning with a Friday night date with William & Mary (7:30 pm).
