Box Score Kimberly Wright posted 17 kills and 18 digs and Kamarsha Ryan added 13 kills to lead High Point to a 3-2 road victory at Campbell Tuesday night.
The victory is the second in a row and third in four matches for the Panthers (4-16).
The Camels came out strong, winning game one by nine points, 30-21, but
dropped games two and three by scores of 24-30 and 26-30. Campbell won the
fourth game by a score of 30-22, forcing the fifth and deciding game.
But the Panthers put together two solid runs in the fifth game, effectively sealing the match, by a score of 15-7.
For High Point, Wright was huge with 17 kills on .343 hitting and 18 digs. Tracyann Pryce added 12 kills on a .409 hitting percentage, while Lindsey Steinhaus posted 11 kills for the victorious Panthers.
Jaime Kutz directed the offensive attack with 28 assists and seven kills on
an .875 attack percentage.
For the match, the Camels hit .232 and the Panthers hit .226. Both clubs
had 10.0 blocks. High Point was able to secure the ball on defense better,
registering 53 digs as a team to Campbell's 39.
