High Point fell to Big South-leading Winthrop, 3-1, Tuesday night in volleyball action in the Millis Center.

The line score was 30-20, 30-14, 25-30, 30-17.

Tracyann Pryce led the Panthers with 13 kills, while Kamarsha Ryan added 11 kills.

The Eagles (12-6, 4-0 Big South) took the first two games before the Panthers (1-15, 0-3) battled back to steal game three, 30-25. HPU put up a fight in game four before Winthrop settled down and closed out the match. Jennifer Pritchard, who had 13 kills for the Eagles, recorded four kills for a .500 hitting percentage in the frame.

Logan Pierce also recorded 14 kills for Winthrop. Lindsey Remmers added eight kills and five aces.

Lindsey Steinhaus had 12 digs for the Panthers.

Winthrop travels to Boston this weekend for the Crimson Classic, hosted by Harvard, while High Point meets Birmingham-Southern in Birmingham Sunday at 2:00 pm.
