The Winthrop University Eagles rallied after losing the first game and defeated High Point University Panthers 3-1 in volleyball action Saturday afternoon in the Millis Center. The Eagles won by scores of 28-30, 30-14, 30-28 and 30-16.

The Panthers fall to 2-13 on the season, 0-2 in the Big South Conference while Winthrop improves to 8-6 on the year and 2-0 in the conference.

The Panthers were led by sophomore Kamarsha Ryan (Virgin Islands) and her 13 kills, while junior Tracyann Pryce (Kingston, Jamaica) had 11 and junior Lindsey Steinhaus (Sugarland, TX) had 10. Sophomore Kristy Flynt (Ft. Myers, FL) had 22 assists and junior Kimberly Wrigth (Naperville, IL) had 20. Stenhaus also added 14 digs.

The Eagles were led by senior Erin Lehman (Longmont, CO) with 15 kills, while sophomore Jennifer Pritchard (Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada) had 14 and senior Sarah Brown (Minnetoka, MN) added 11. Sophomore Chirstie Davis (Park Hills KY) had 47 assists and Lehman also added 13 digs.
