On Senior Night at Albion Millis Stadium, four Panther Seniors went out in style. Each made a major contribution to the Panthers' 4-0 win over UNC-Asheville (5-10, 1-5 Big South) in the regular-season finale for both schools.
Twin sisters Tiffany and Tamara Impson (Voorhees, N.J.) accounted for three of High Point's four goals. Tamara scored the game's first goal in the 25th minute off an assist from her sister. Tamara's first shot hit the crossbar, and she crushed the rebound past UNCA keeper Rebecca Bostain.
Tiffany countered with a pair of goals, the first coming in the 52nd minute on a header off a corner kick by Kerry Muscolina, who scored the third goal a minute later on an assist by Beth Mork. Tiffany Impson's final goal came in the 63rd minute off another Muscolina corner.
Cindy Watts made her 52nd career start in goal for the Panthers (4-11-1, 2-4) and netted her second shutout of the season. Defender Alisse Robertson, the final Panther senior, played strong in defense in her fifth start of the year.
