Box Score Misty Brockman led four High Point starters in double-figures with 13 points as the Panthers (1-1) coasted to an easy 86-59 victory over Longwood College (1-2) in a women's basketball contest Monday night at the Millis Center.
The Panthers never trailed and jumped out to an early 17-4 advantage against the tired Lancers, who were playing their third contest in four days. Shannon O'Brien had 10 points – all in the first half – to help High Point build a 44-29 halftime edge.
Mary Brewer (12 points) and Stephanie Scott (10 points) were the other Panthers in double-figures. Brewer, Brockman, Cebronica Scott and Toni Vick each had six rebounds.
Longwood's Angel Johnson led all scorers with 15 points, while Leigh Farmer added 13 for the Lancers.
