After a closely-contested first game, No. 2-seeded Winthrop jumped out to quick leads in the second and third games en route to a 3-0 victory over No. 7-seeded High Point in match #3 of the Big South Volleyball Championship. 

The Eagles jumped out to a 12-5 lead to start off the match in the first game. But the Panthers used an 11-4 run midway through the game to knot the score at 16-16.

Although Winthrop eventually pulled away, the Panthers were always within six points of the Eagles.

Games two and three were the opposite, as Winthrop jumped out to sizable leads and held on to win.

High Point was paced by Tracyann Pryce (nine kills, four digs), while Lindsey Steinhaus added three kills and a team,-best 11 digs.
