Freshman Rachel Malmborg had 16 kilss and 14 digs, both match highs, to lead Birmingham-Southern over Big South Conference rival High Point, 3-1, in college volleyball Saturday afternooon. BSC (6-11, 3-4 Big South) relinquished game two, but won the match by scores of 30-23, 14-30, 30-25, 30-26.

Junior Allie Sumblin added 11 kills and setter Kyndall Waters notched 43 set assists as BSC won their second in their last three matches. Stephanie Harrington and Miljana Lazarevic helped mount a front-line attack that led to four block solos and 12 block assits.

High Point (4-18) had four players in double-digit kills, led by Kamarsha Ryan's 14. HPU out-hit BSC .243 to .174, but the home-standing Panterhs had eight service aces on the day.
