High Point University Athletics

Matty Thompson is in his first year as the Assistant Marketing Director at High Point University. He was hired on in July 2023. 

Thompson graduated from HPU in 2023 with his bachelor's degree in sport management. At HPU, Thompson served as the manager for the men’s lacrosse team all four years and also on the scout team for women's basketball. 

During the first semester of Thompson's senior year, he interned with the athletic communications department where he was assigned different tasks and responsibilities from cutting videos to posting in-game updates for men and women’s soccer, men's and women’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s lacrosse. 

Thompson is originally from Washington, D.C., and now resides in High Point, N.C.
