High Point University Athletics

Daniel Distasio joined the Panthers as the Director of Athletic Facilities and Operations in the summer of 2025 after spending the previous two seasons as a Graduate Assistant in Facilities and Game Operations at Fairleigh Dickinson University. 

Distasio will work as the main point of contact for facilities and operations with men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, baseball and will be a secondary contact for men's basketball.

While at FDU, Distastio helped manage game-day operations for 19 varsity sports, including training, coordinating game-day staff, and assisting visiting teams with access to all necessary facilities. He assisted with all event operations for athletic facilities, including setups and breakdowns. Distasio oversaw recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of student employees to ensure efficient workflow, maintain high performance standards, and support daily operational goals. 

Prior to working at FDU, Distasio attended undergrad at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and worked as an Athletic Events and Game Operations Intern. As an intern, he helped managed game-day operations for 21 varsity sports. 

Distasio graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Recreation and Sports Facilities Management in May of 2023 from SJU and obtained his Master's in Sports Administration in May of 2025.
