High Point University Athletics

Nate Shipp comes back to High Point University as the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Facilities & Operations in June of 2026. Shipp will be a member of the HPU Athletic Executive Staff.

From 2023 to 2025, Shipped served as the Assistant Director for Facilities and Operations. A native of Belton, Texas, Shipp has substantial experience in operations, sports field construction, and sports field maintenance.
 
Prior to joining HPU, he served as the assistant baseball coach for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and was the assistant groundskeeper for the Round Rock Express, MiLB Triple- A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. While at HPU, Shipp will be the facilities sport contact for men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, and baseball while assisting with men's and women's track and field.
 
Shipp holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Southwestern University, where he was a four-year letter winner for the Pirates baseball team.
