High Point University Athletics

Jonah Alewine joined the High Point University athletics staff as an athletic communications assistant in August of 2025. 
 

Alewine graduated from High Point University in the spring of 2025 with a B.A. in Sports Media and a minor in Journalism. As a college senior, he worked with the athletics department as a journalist writing game recaps and feature stories for various sports. Alewine has interned with sports companies such as The National Scouting Combine, Top Lax Recruits, and Lacrosse Extras. He has a love for writing and promoting student-athletes' stories in the public eye. 
 

A native of Annapolis, Md., Alewine will assist in daily athletic communications tasks while being a contact for women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s golf.
